In anticipation of the upcoming release of his debut album, Boombox Logic, local hip hop artist Kuf Knotz stopped by the WXPN studios last night to record a handful of live tracks for The Key Studio Sessions. Below, catch a teaser clip of Kuf performing “Soul Music” alongside Cee Knowledge (aka Doodlebug from Digable Planets) with locals Ali Wadsworth (of rock quintet Fantasy Square Garden) and hip hop/R&B musician Dave Vegas doing harmonies.

Check in this Thursday morning to hear the full live version of “Soul Music” on John Vettese’s Philly Local Philes; Kuf’s entire studio session will be posted in early November, one week after Boombox Logic‘s official release. In the meantime, you can purchase tickets to Kuf’s record-release show (Saturday, October 16th, at World Cafe Live) here.
