Download “A Trudy Pitts Christmas,” help raise funds for her memorial

Thanks to the folks over at Turtle Studios, who sent this heads-up our way. The Carney family is trying to raise funds for Trudy Pitts’ memorial service, and has released four of the last tracks she recorded—all Christmas songs—for download. Unfortunately, as the email from the studio states, “[Y]ou can be a fairly legendary figure in Jazz and still not end up with a comfortable lifestyle.”

The Bandcamp page just went up yesterday, and it features four tracks (all recorded in the last five years) available for download. From the site: “Your donation will go directly to the Carney family for memorial funds. In appreciation, you will receive an immediate download of all four of these tracks in your choice of file format.” You can download the songs here.
