After a slow end to 2010 (and an even slower beginning of 2011), there are a ton of good shows coming up this weekend: Power Animal at Danger Danger (1/14; all ages, $5-$10), Grimace Federation at North Star Bar (1/14; 9 p.m., 21+, $10), Slutever at Kung Fu Necktie (1/15; 7:30 p.m., 21+, $5), Grandchildren at The Ox (1/15; 8 p.m.), and The Armchairs at Kung Fu Necktie (1/16; 8 p.m., 21+, $5). But this is the show we’re most looking forward to this weekend (and where we’ll be Friday night):
