Philly throwback rockers Free Energy helped TNG contribute to Dan Savage’s “It Gets Better” project with this special live version of their song “Hope Child.” Though it is not melancholy, like our last such contribution, Hope Child is one of TNG’s top anti-suicide anthems for achieving a difficult balance: It’s a song about despair and perseverance that you can head bang too.
