Philly Local Philes: The Atomic Square’s “Everything You Want”

The Atomic SquareSouth Jersey experimental pop foursome The Atomic Square is a band on the move. Last year they wowed us with a live-studio-audience Key session and some holiday soundtracking skills. This year, they’re poised to take their show international. The Square is a regional finalist in the Hard Rock Café Global Battle of the Bands, and if they win, they fly over to London to compete with their peers from other corners of the world. The contest runs until April 25 and the band is asking for your support; should you care to give it, head over to their section of contest website and vote. Need more convincing? To make things more impressive, this cut was completed while the band was geographically challenged (read: singer-keyboardist-guitarist Ete AhPing was out west for his day job). Not many bands are able to pull off the long-distance songwriting thing successfully; we’re glad The Atomic Square is one that can.
