Veteran synthpop specialists The Human League will tour the US this September after a summer spent on the European festival circuit. The move is an interesting choice considering the trio chose not to release its’ most recent LP in the U.S., but since March’s Credo is the group’s first full-length since 2001, fans are likely to turn out anyway. Though the Brits may be remembered most for their 1981 single “Don’t You Want Me,” their prolific career has spanned nine studio albums, twenty-nine singles, over 350 live concerts, and a Grammy-award nomination. The reunion of such inexhaustible creative talents will surely be an interesting one.

The Human League’s fall tour stops in our area on September 21st at the Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA. Joining the group will be Men Without Hats, fellow ‘80s icons best known for their hit “The Safety Dance.”

So, if you’re looking for a blast from the past, this is your show. With material from one group we haven’t heard in the US, and very little to no new material from the other, this show could give you an excuse to get out that florescent ‘80s gear you’ve been saving for a few decades too long. Again, the show is on Wednesday, September 21 at 8pm. Tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow, June 18th, at noon EDT. They are going to cost $33.50 – $39.50 and will be available here. —Claire Fishkow
