Philly Local Philes: Instamatic’s “Architecture”
FILED UNDER: Artists, Events, Recordings, Instamatic, Kung Fu Necktie, Philly Local Philes
The guys in Instamatic are longtime advocates for electronic music in Philadelphia, going back to the tenure some of band spent held in the dancefloor-wrecking crew Crimp Yr Hair. Compared to that group’s brand of aural chaos, the latest EP from Instamatic, Turning Into Straight Lines, is ear candy, a set of focused, radio-ready synthpop songs. Download today’s Philly Local Phile, “Architecture,” below, and catch up with the band tomorrow night at Kung Fu Necktie; the band performs with Sweatheart, Robai and Lifeline.
