From full-time social worker to full-time musician, Matt Santry has made the unlikely transition from playing music for autistic children to rocking audiences of loyal fans. Santry credits the years he spent working one-on-one with children with disabilities as a contributing factor to his ability to successfully create a connection with his current audiences. “The Xmas Song” describes the feeling of Christmas no matter what the reasons behind the holiday and is a great addition to our 12 Days list. Matt Santry’s next area performance is with Mark DeRose And The Way Home at 8 p.m. Friday, December 16th, at Chaplin’s The Music Cafe in Spring City, PA; tickets to the show are $10–$12. —Nick Bookbinder
