The man with the harmonica who has graced us with his jazzy voice and bluesy beats for over five decades is playing tonight at World Cafe Live at the Queen in Wilmington. John Mayall began his career in England in the mid 1950′s as John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers; a group that welcomed some of rock ‘n roll’s biggest names including: Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Jack Bruce, and Mick Fleetwood, among others. The son of two folk singers, it is no surprise that Willy Mason followed in his parent’s footsteps. The country/folk singer was discovered by Conor Oberst in 2004, and since has played extensively with bands such as Death Cab for Cutie, Radiohead, and will be on tour with Mumford & Sons this fall.
