Tonight’s Concert Picks: WXPN welcomes Mike Doughty w/ Griz, Alberta Cross, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister, and Lantern

Mike Doughty recently released his new album The Question Jar Show, a two disc collection of 28 live recordings from his Question Jar tour in 2009. Also, earlier this spring he began releasing a song a week for 32 weeks to his fans from his subscription based album, Lo-Fi Lodge. Doughty plays tonight at Haddon Lake Park in Camden with special guest, Griz. The show begins at 7:30 PM and is totally FREE!

R5 Productions presents Alberta Cross tonight at Johnny Brenda’s in support of their new album, Songs of Patience; an album title with literal meaning to the process of its creation. Opening acts include Everest, Aaron Lee Tasjan, and Mach 22. Tickets to this 21+ show are $12, show begins at 9PM.

The five-piece group, He’s My Brother She’s My Sister play tonight at World Cafe Live (Upstairs) at 8PM. This band is full of country rock intuition with a surge of fixated pop melodies.
