Emerging Belgian songstress, Selah Sue opened today’s Free At Noon with a three song set from stage of World Cafe Live in Philadelphia. She felt at ease despite this being her first live radio performance; standing with just her acoustic guitar, the raspy-voiced singer started things off with a sweet, soft tune that was almost tearful. Her next two songs, “Raggamuffin,” and “Fyah Fyah,” were up-beat and fast-paced, showing off her reggae, soulful style. Selah Sue will be playing the River Stage at Great Plaza on September 23rd along with Ed Sheeran and Passenger. You can get tickets to the show here.

Following Selah Sue was the performance the sold-out crowd had been waiting for; rockers Band of Horses. Opening with the single “Knock Knock” off their forthcoming album Mirage Rock which got the audience moving and singing along. They mixed it up a bit playing songs from their various albums including “Laredo,” and “The Great Salt Lake; and “Older” that keyboardist Ryan Monroe wrote for the band. Lead vocalist, Benjamin Bridwell was playful with the crowd joking that their enthusiasm was better than coffee.
