Blast into space with Pinback in the video for “Sherman” (playing Underground Arts on 11/9)

For our second space-related post of the day, check out indie duo’s Pinback‘s new music video for “Sherman.” It premiered at Wired this afternoon, and is a send-up of both the early-60s Soviet Russia sci-fi flick Planeta Bur, as well as two adaptations of it by American B-movie maker Roger Corman. The footage mined for this video will also be used as projections on the band’s current tour, so if you’re seeing Pinback at Underground Arts next month, you can get an idea how the concert will look now.
