This is one we’ve been waiting on for a while. Philly hip-hop crew WyldLyfe released its long-in-the-making Year of the Crossover mixtape at midnight, and it totally delivers. The 18-song set has sophisticated production, melodic hooks and aggressive rhymes with a pop sensibility. The previously-heard “Fly By Night” shines, the dubstep-influenced “Blue Skies” rages and even the blatant riff on Watch the Throne‘s “No Church in the Wild” holds up.
