Free Download: Danzig’s “Mother,” as covered by The Bailey Hounds
FILED UNDER: Artists, Concert Previews, Events, PhilaMOCA, The Bailey Hounds, Tuesday Tune-Out
We’re hoping Sandy has blown over by the time The Bailey Hounds are scheduled to play PhilaMOCA on Tuesday night. The Halloween-loving Americana four-piece is set to close out The Swollen Fox’s month curating the Tuesday Tune-Out series with a Devil’s Night party. The MOCA will be decorated for the holiday and “a classic 70s horror film that was remade almost 10 years ago” will be screened. But whichever way the wind blows, the band’s cover of “Mother” by Danzig remains seasonally appropriate. The 90s metal rager is spun from its raw guitar origins into a haunting piano ballad – grab yourself a free download below, and keep your fingers crossed that the show goes on this Tuesday. UPDATE from The Bailey Hounds’ Chris Cardillo: “If Sandy is still raging, the ‘rain date’ (heh) is the next night. Times will remain the same.”
