Local taste-maker blog yvynyl premiered Cold Fronts’ cover of Maxine Nightingale‘s “Get Right Back” earlier today. The Philly indie four-piece put their signature garage-rock spin on the 70s disco-pop hit, which they also recorded for live-session curators Daytrotter this past summer. Check out Cold Fronts’ studio version at Yvynyl here, listen to its Daytrotter version below, and then compare it against Maxine Nightingale’s original recording. Cold Fronts are working on a new EP with Philly producer Kyle “Slick” Johnson; look out for its release in early 2013.
