Silver Linings Playbook, a new comedy/drama movie filmed in Philadelphia starring Bradley Cooper, Robert DeNiro, Chris Tucker and Jennifer Lawrence, opens in select theaters around the country, including Philadelphia, on November 16th. Cooper stars as Pat Solitano, who after losing his job, his house and his wife (plus a stint in a mental institution), moves back in with his parents, who are obsessed with the Philadelphia Eagles. Locals will recognize Ridley Park, Upper Darby, the Llanerch Diner and Archbishop Prendergast High School in the film. The film debuted at the Philadelphia Film Festival last month.

Alabama Shakes recorded a new song for the film called “Always Alright,” and you can watch a making-of video for the song below along with the trailer to the movie, featuring music from The Head and The Heart. The soundtrack features the new song from the Alabama Shakes, along with songs by Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash (“Girl From The North Country”), Alt-J (“Buffalo”), “Hey Big Brother” by Rare Earth, “My Cherie Amour” by Stevie Wonder, and music by the Dave Brubeck Quartet and Les Paul and Mary Ford.
