XPN Welcomes guitar instrumentalist Kaki King to World Cafe Live tonight. The Golden Globe nominee, whose latest album Glow was released in October, has been praised for her composition skills, even being named as the only woman on Rolling Stone‘s list of “The New Guitar Gods” in 2006. Brooklyn singer/songwriter Jason Anderson returns to Philadelphia for a show tonight at Kung Fu Necktie. Southern rock artist Bobby Bare Jr., the son of country singer Bobby Bare, will be playing tonight at Milkboy Philly. A Storm, A Tree, My Mother’s Head, Bare, Jr.’s sixth record with his band, The Young Criminals Starvation League, was released in 2010.
