Tonight’s Concert Picks: Passenger at World Cafe Live, Panic Years at Kung Fu Necktie, Sha Na Na at The Sellersville Theater

British troubadour Passenger travels to World Cafe Live tonight.  Mike Rosenberg released his latest album All the Little Lights in July while busking throughout Europe and the UK on a DIY tour.  If being chosen to open for Ed Sheeran isn’t praise enough for Rosenberg’s ability to craft soulful, heartfelt compositions, just take a look at his currently scheduled tour dates – over half of them are already sold out and many were moved to larger venues, including tonight’s (it was moved from upstairs at WCL to downstairs).  Tickets and information for tonight’s all-ages show with Kate Earl can be found here.  Below, watch the video for Passenger’s single “Let Her Go.”

Virginia-born indie rock band Panic Years play Kung Fu Necktie tonight.  Using Philadelphia as home-base for the last several years, Panic Years have released two EPs ahead of this year’s full-length debut The Month’s Mind while touring some of the best indie rock has to offer (Naked and Famous, Jenny Owen Young).  Tickets and more information for tonight’s show with Eytan and The Embassy and Thick as Thieves can be found here.  Below, watch a video of Panic Years’ Key Studio Session.

Rock and roll group Sha Na Na perform at The Sellersville Theater tonight.  Specializing in fifties and sixties jukebox hits, Sha Na Na have been on the big screen, little screen and many historic stages including The Fillmore (east and west) and Woodstock.  The pompadour-clad group will perform two shows at The Sellersville Theater today – an early show at 3:00 p.m. and a late show at 7:30 p.m.  Tickets and information can be found here.  Below, watch Sha Na Na perform “In the Still of the Night” (and yes they are wearing metallic gold spandex).
