Today WXPN launched a new channel devoted to contemporary and heritage musicians whose music is rooted in the singer-songwriter tradition – from Bob Dylan and Joan Baez to Neko Case and Mumford and Sons. Singer-Songwriter Radio will be broadcast at 88.5 HD-2, and streamed online at XPN2.

Hosted by WXPN DJs, including Michaela Majoun, Helen Leicht and Dan Reed the playlist includes music by both heritage and new artists, as well as exclusive in-studio performances. World Cafe, hosted by David Dye will be on Monday-Friday from 7pm to 9pm. Additional programs will include Mountain Stage, Folkadelphia, hosted by Fred Knittel and folk legend Gene Shay will host a block of Folk Alley on Sunday starting at Noon.
