Local musician and pro-skateboarder Chuck Treece will be the host of February’s Beats, Brews & Banter event presented by The Philly Drum Project.  Treece was a founding member of 80s skate punk band McRad and has toured with Bad Brains and Urge Overkill, in addition to being a preeminent Philly session musician.  Started in April of 2012, Beats, Brews & Banter is a monthly gathering that brings together the best in Philadelphia drumming for an evening of discussion and demonstration; read Dan Brightcliffe’s interview with the group here. February’s event will take place in the Back Room at the Roosevelt Pub and is free to attend.  For more information, go here.  McRad appeared in one of our very first Key Studio Sessions from September 2010.
