When I heard that Former Belle frontman Bruno Joseph joined up with Peasant impresario Damien DeRose as a touring bassist, I wasn’t a bit surprised. The two artists are mui simpatico, from the yearning melodies and wistful strumming to the spacious arrangements and introspective songs. Former Belle is releasing its new album Cathederal next month, and celebrating with a show at MilkBoy on February 8th. Below, listen to “Shouldn’t Love” from the album, and grab a free download of it at Bandcamp.
