Cold War Kids release new single, announce Union Transfer show in April

It was a busy day in the blogosphere for Cold War Kids. The California-based group posted two big tweets—one in which they dropped their latest single “Miracle Mile,” and another announcing their 2013 tour schedule and a second trailer for their upcoming album, Dear Miss Lonely Hearts.  Philly fans can pick up tickets for the group’s April 12th Union Transfer show when they go on sale this Friday at noon.  In the meantime, listeners are advised to begin memorizing the anthem-like “Miracle Mile,” whose upbeat desperation (particularly in the chorus—“Come up for air, come up for air, come up”) suggests serious potential for a concert-wide sing-a-long.   Watching the moody, black and white, noir-esque album trailer wouldn’t be a bad way to gear up for the band’s retro rock sound, either.
