Free Download: the Shuteye EP by Catnaps (playing Glitoria on 3/2)
Call it the bridge between Catnaps old and new. The Shuteye EP is out today as a free download, and it mixes both the band’s effervescent indiepop hooks and lofty harmonies – the stuff we heard on 2010′s Why Don’t You Whisper? – with the gritty, DIY-minded aesthetic of the Boys Drool EP from last Valentine’s Day. Listen to the EP below, grab a download from Bandcamp and watch out the sci-fi themed music video for “Cherry Lips” here. The band is playing at the West Philly show space Glitoria on March 2.
