OCD: Moosh & Twist debut new video, “This High” (playing Friday 2/15 at Union Transfer)

By

We’re not going to beat around the turntable here – the new Moosh & Twist song & video “This High,” is just great. It’s an earworm singalong that swings for the pop music fences and homers. Moosh’s raps continue to tighten up and focus and there’s musical depth on the song that signals impressive, continued growth. But when that hook comes, look out: Twist brings the chorus home alongside a soaring guitar solo that heightens the sentiment of the lyrics: “I don’t want to come back down from this high.” Update: John Vettese says any resemblance between “This High” and this song is okay with him.

The band is currently on their Up To No Good Tour and play Union Transfer on Friday, February 15th. Last time the band was in town, their show at the Church got cut short due to the fire alarm being pulled and the club having to empty out, so I imagine Moosh & Twist will be particularly excited to get back in front of their hometown fans. Go here for tickets and more information about the show.
