The Seattle band Pickwick is releasing its new album called Can’t Talk Medicine on March 12th. The hotly hyped six piece is fronted by Galen Disston, a powerful, soulful singer who takes the band through all kinds of terrific indie-rock and soul music moves. It’s a band that also includes Kory Kruckenberg, who is a Grammy award winning classical music engineer and multi-instrumentalist. If Disston’s favorite albums of 2012 are an indication of his musical interests (Ty Segall, Frank Ocean, Matthew E. White, Foxygen, Sharon Van Etten and more), he’s drawing from a solid, healthy list of great records. Pickwick plays Milboy Philly on Friday, April 26th.
