If you’re not familiar with the indie-roots band Houndmouth then it’s time for some due diligence. The hotly buzzed Kentucky based four piece released their debut self-titled EP last August to well-deserved excellent reviews. They’ve kept a fairly low profile up until now, however they are going out on tour and the future sure looks bright for them. They’ll be out on tour with Alabama Shakes and Michael Kiwanuka and by the time they finish up their dates in Austin, Texas at SXSW our prediction is that music fans will be gushing. Good news for Philly is that Houndmouth has announced a show on Saturday, April 6th at World Cafe Live. Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday, February 15th. Below, watch the band perform “Penitentiary.”
