Local scuzzy, blown-out noise thrashers super-polished, hard-rocking outfit Purling Hiss have shared a track from their upcoming major label debut Water On Mars and it’s a brand new look for them. On “Mercury Retrograde,” Mike Polizze and his bandmates have done away with their excessively distorted bedroom guitar rock in exchange for a Dinosaur Jr.-esque fuzzy-but-melodic sound. Water On Mars will be released on March 19th through Drag City. Information on the Johnny Brenda’s show on April 5th can be found here. Stream “Mercury Retrograde” below.
