Watch Indians perform a Take Away Show in Paris (playing Johnny Brenda’s on 3/9)
FILED UNDER: Artists, Concert Previews, Events, Recordings, Indians, Johnny Brenda's, La Blogotheque, Take Away Shows
After interrupting a Jon Spencer rehearsal somewhere in Paris, Copenhagen’s Indians performed acoustic versions of “I Am Haunted” and “Cakelakers” from his 2012 debut Somewhere Else for La Blogotheque. Stripped of their layered reverb and theramin-y warbles, the songs revert to the form I imagine they were created in – just a simple acoustic guitar and vocal pairing, allowing the listener to get closer to the songs’ real emotions and essence. Watch the Take Away Show below and download the album version of “I Am Haunted” here. Indians opens for Night Beds with Cat Martino at Johnny Brenda’s on March 9th. Tickets and information can be found here.
