Autre Ne Veut celebrates the release of Anxiety at Johnny Brenda’s tonight.  The record follows up Arthur Ashin’s 2010 self-titled debut and references the musician’s experiences with psychoanalysis and anxiety through the lens of relationships.  With Asher’s hooky falsetto and R&B beats accented by dream-pop synths and spacious choral backing vocals Anxiety is a sonic amalgam of his life up to this point influenced by the transcendent nature of karaoke.   Tickets and information for the 21+ show with Majical Cloudz can be found here.  Watch the video for “Counting” below.

Punk outfit Cusses come to Kung Fu Necktie tonight.  Hailing from Savannah, GA, the trio released their self-titled debut last year with a sound that ranges from an edgier Paramour to total Runaways thrash outs.  Cusses may have found a mainstream audience when they won an MTVU video contest last month for their song “Don’t Give In” thanks to their strong hometown following but at their core they are a pure rock & roll band with riot grrrl attitude.  Tickets and information for tonight’s 21+ show with Slutever can be found here.  Watch the video for “Don’t Give In” below.
