Just Announced: Sparks playing The Trocadero on April 24
As XPN’s Eric Schuman is fond of saying, Sparks is not just a synthpop band; they are the synthpop band. Formed in Los Angeles in 1971, the duo of Ron and Russel Mael (and their various collaborators) put out some 22 eclectic records in the 32 ensuing years (not a bad track record), most recently appearing with 2009′s The Seduction of Ingmar Bergman. The band just confirmed a brief spring tour that includes an April 24th stop at The Trocadero; ticket onsale information will be announced soon. Below, check out an assortment of videos from the Sparks archives.
