From the Archives: Folkadelphia Session: Spirit Family Reunion (playing Johnny Brenda’s tonight)

With the Folkadelphia Sessions, it has been quite thrilling to be able to share some of our recent in-studio performances that we have recorded with artists like Tim Kasher, Sera Cahoone, Anais Mitchell, and a ton of others . But it’s not like this is a new thing for us; Folkadelphia has been recording and airing our sessions via our weekly radio program (now on Singer-Songwriter Radio on XPN2, Sundays 3-5 PM and Mondays 9-11 PM) since our inception.

Every once in a while, we like to dust off our hard drives and revisit some gems from sessions past. We’re of the generous sort, so here we are sharing them with you; welcome to Folkadelphia’s From the Archives. Enjoy this new (old) session!

During the summer of last year, NY-based Spirit Family Reunionbrought their infectious brand of hoot-and-hollerin’ Americana to the XPN Studio for Folkadelphia. Now they return to Philadelphia for a headlining concert at Johnny Brenda’s this tonight, 4/2. Let’s shake off the frigidity of the cold weather months and enter springtime with this energetic set and show!
