Randall Bramblett releases his new CD, The Bright Spots, next Tuesday, May 14th on New West Records. Bramblett’s music incorporates rock, blues and R&B and he’s a prolific musician. The Georgia born multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter has had a solo career and has performed and recorded with The Allman Brothers, Traffic, Gov’t Mule, Widespread Panic, and Levon Helm. When The Allman Brothers initially disbanded in the mid 70’s, Bramblett formed the fusion leaning rock band Sea Level with Allman’s keyboardist Chuck Leavell, bassist Lamar Williams and drummer Jaimoe. As a songwriter, one of Bramblett’s biggest fans is Bonnie Raitt, who recorded several of his songs including “Use To Rule The World” from her most recent album, Slipstream. Below, in exchange for your e-mail you can download a free sampler featuring several songs from his new album, and his own version of “Used To Rule The World.”
