Laura Mvula announces North American tour (playing World Cafe Live 9/13)

UK singer-songwriter Laura Mvula has just announced that she will be returning to the states this fall, for a North American tour. She’ll making a Philly stop on September 13th, for a show at World Cafe Live. Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 14th, at noon. Mvula will be touring in support of her recent debut full-length, Sing To The Moon, currently out on Columbia Records. Sing To The Moon, a powerful showcase of the British singer’s unique range and talent, has recieved a wide variety of glowing endorsements, praised as “quietly yet forcefully brilliant” by the Wall Street Journal, while Mvula herself has been noted for her “potent, naturally dramatic sense of soul” by the Phildaelphia Inquirer.
