Call it making up for lost time. After a long hiatus (and the sad loss of founding member Dave Blood), The Dead Milkmen have been kicking out the jams since their 2008 reunion. A steady series of 7″ singles followed their 2011 LP The King in Yellow, and after the release of The Great Boston Molasses Flood back in March, vocalist Rodney Anonymous tweeted about their productivity:

3 NEW Dead Milkmen songs. That makes 8 new songs and a cover that we’ve released in the last 9 months, slackers.

With no sign of slowing down in site, the band today (last night, actually) posted its latest 7″, Welcome to Undertown, to its Bandcamp page. It finds Anonymous in political-commentary-rant-and-rave mode – think “Peter Bazooka,” the amazing opening track from 1995’s Stoney’s Extra Stout – with a cool surf-ish break in the middle on “Streetlamps / Walking to Work.” Stream the set below, and keep your eye on The Dead Milkmen’s store – preorders go up this Friday, June 21st.
