Get a sneak peek of Heyward Howkins’ new LP with “Pundit”

While we were all running around town on Friday afternoon for Make Music Philly Day, Heyward Howkins snuck in a preview of a new track off of his upcoming Cut & Corral LP.  In the spirit of inclusion, the local singer-songwriter has been posting demos of new songs on his Soundcloud for the last few months, allowing fans to tag along on the recording process as he completes the follow-up to last year’s The Hale & Hearty.  Howkins describes “Pundit” as “a little Catholic guilt jam” and delivers the agile vocal performance he’s become known for, while his guitar takes a back seat to a pensive, synth-y melody that echos the reflective nature of the lyrics.  Stream and download “Pundit” below and listen back to the other preview tracks from Cut & Corralhere.
