Upper Darby-bred art-rock five piece mewithoutYou released their latest album, Ten Stories, last year, blending their heavier early sound with the orchestrations of their later albums. The record features quirky tales of life and death mostly told through tales of anthropomorphic animals surrounding the wreck of a circus train. The band is still on tour in support of the album, and will play at The Depot in York tonight with Philly’s Auctioneer. Vietnam have been quietly toiling away at a new album since 2007s self-titled debut. It’s full of some incredible blues-rock tunes that sound a bit like Bob Dylan joined forces with The Black Crowes. The group just released the long-awaited follow-up, An American Dream, in February and their tour brings them to Milkboy Philly tonight along with THATAFS, The Cats and Jackie Paper.
