Local record label Young Robots has been working hard this summer to put together a Philly-centric compilation of new songs and remixes from local bands and producers, called Philadelphia Maneto. Curated by local electronic artist DJ Apt One, the comp will feature additional help by a selection of other dance-centric artists, with the set released next week on digital-download and 12″ vinyl. On July 18th, there will be a concert at the Race Street Pier to celebrate the whole thing. Last week we got a taste of the set with The Downtown Club’s “Dance”; today, we have a featured remix of the Nicos Gun track “Dirty Girl.” The track (recently remixed by Philly’s own Les Professionnels as well) is full of delightful synth programming and an infectious beat.
