Savages are a post-punk band hailing from London who released their debut album, Silence Yourself, back in May. Even though they’re fairly new on the music scene, Savages are already gaining a lot of attention and appeared on Jimmy Fallon a few weeks back. Tonight, the group plays at Union Transfer. For a little throw back, A Flock of Seagulls will be playing the Troc tonight. While some people only remember the group for it’s odd hairdos and fashion style, A Flock of Seagulls were an incredibly innovative band with a decent amount of new wave hit singles. Although the group hasn’t released a new album since the 90s, they’re still touring and tonight you can catch them live. Tonight, local band Tin Bird Choir will play a free show for Upper Merion’s Concerts Under The Stars series. Tin Bird Choir is an alt-folk band formed by a husband and wife along with a like-minded group of musicians. Their latest album, Homesteady, features a collection of sweet folk songs finding influence as wide ranging as Fiest and Taj Mahal.
