My Morning Download: “Curse Over Me” by Wild Ones

WildOnes PRESS PHOTO 5_21 Wild Ones are an indie-pop band from Portland, Oregon, fronted by Danielle Sullivan. With a 2011 debut EP that had local Portland music critics buzzing about the band, they recently released their debut album, Keep It Safe, on Party Damage Records. The band brings together bubbly synthesizers, super warm melodies and playful, soulful grooves wrapped up in dreamy, lush blanket of Sullivan’s childlike, wonderstruck vocals. For comparison, Wild Ones fit into the musical continuum with acts like Lykke Li, Pure Bathing Culture and Twin Sister, yet stake out their own unique mark on the dreamy-pop landscape in large part to how good the songwriting is and Sullivan’s sultry heeding. Below, download, “Curse Over Me,” from the band’s debut full length.
