Started by composer Ellis Ludwig-Leone, the Brooklyn-based band San Fermin will release a self-titled debut album in the fall, which promises a blend of chamber pop and modern classical. The record has been highly anticipated since the late June release of “Sonsick,” the lead single which offers upbeat vocals and a strong brass finish. San Fermin will play World Café Live tonight alongside Cult Choir, so check out the video of “Sonsick,” and find information and tickets here.
A four piece indie pop band, San Cisco will leave its birthplace of Australia to tour in the States for the next several months. The group was the first Australian ensemble to be signed to the stellar Fat Possum label, which has recently tapped into the indie-folk and lo-fi rock scenes. San Cisco will perform at Johnny Brenda’s with Small Pools and Supercute! tonight, and in preparation for the event, watch the quirky (and yes, slightly awkward) video of “Awkward.” Check out tickets and information for the event here.
