Jawnzap7, though the name is confusing, can spit rhymes like no other. Hailing from Philadelphia, he has a fast hip-hop flow and solid beats to match. Though the rapper only has a large set of singles and EPs to their name, all of the releases are pretty impressive. Tonight, Jawnzap7 plays The Note along with a lineup of other up and coming musicians. Click here for ticket information and listen below to get in on the rap action.
Looks like this is the weekend for festivals and Lancaster isn’t skipping out on any of the action. In honor of Fly Magazine’s 21st birthday, they’re hosting an outdoor festival in Lancaster. The lineup is solid, including Philly acts (and XPN Fest alums) DRGN KING and The Districts. The show goes from 12-9. What better way to spend your Saturday? Last but not least is XPN Favorite Shawn Mullins. The alt-rocker became famous in the late 90s for his hit “Lullaby,” but he has been releasing a steady stream of albums ever since, his latest being 2010s Light You Up. Mullins is currently on tour and is stopping in Philadelphia on the northeastern leg of the tour.
