We’ve still got The Fleeting Ends excellent sophomore album Our Eyes Are Peeled on regular rotation over here at The Key HQ, and are rather amped today to bring you a brand new music video for their single “Operator.” What begins with very shadowy and abstract shots stylized by New York-based director and editor Kyle C Mumford pulls back to show layered clips of the band members playing in a carpet warehouse owned by drummer Matt Amadio’s father – a space the band has used in the past for video and photo shoots. Says Matt:

The day we shot the video was during one of the heat waves we had in July. A couple of days before, I spent a few hours blacking out the 3500 square foot warehouse with old carpet pad (so much fun!). Kyle wanted to work in complete darkness. The concept was to shoot each of us in front of different textures in the complete darkness with only the illumination of a flash light. That’s exactly what happened.

So we spent the day sweating in the darkness of a warehouse with “Operator” blaring over the PA system with flash lights pointed in our faces. You can even see me wiping my face with an old piece of sweatpants in the video. I was in that bathroom for a while.

Check out the video below, and catch The Fleeting Ends’ fall tour, which kicks off this week (dates below). Their next Philly appearance next month at Johnny Brenda’s when they open for The Lawsuits at Johnny Brenda’s on October 18th.
