A singer and songwriter with roots in the emo and hardcore scenes, Jonah Matranga
brings his one man show to the side chapel of the First Unitarian church tonight. Best known for his drum loopy work under the name onelinedrawing – specifically it’s 2002 album Visitor
– Matranga has also dabbled in heartfelt pop-rock (Gratitude) and punk (his original band Far), as well as solo acoustic singer songwriter fare. He hasn’t released a new record since 2010′s You’re All Those Things And Then You’re None
, so we expect some new material in the mix tonight alongside his singalong fan favorites. Tickets and information on the all ages show can be found here
. Below, listen to “Bitte Ein Kuss” from Visitor
Swingin’ ragtime-influenced singer-songwriter Pokey LaFarge and his band perform tonight at The Abbey Bar in Harrisburg. This year The Pokemeister released his self-titled sixth full-length on Jack White’s Third Man Records imprint, and his summer tour brought him through Philly for a show at World Cafe Live. Check out a video of that set below, and get more information on tonight’s 21+ show in Harrisburg here.
