The Burgeoning. A way of life.

Emerging from the crevices of Bensalem, PA, The Burgeoning is an indie rock outfit made up of a couple of brothers (Logan and Alex Thierjung) and a few friends (Taylor Knowles, Brandon Bradley, and Marc Giovanetti). Their set-up is standard for the alt-indie world: lead singer, bass and rhythm guitars, drums, and keyboards. But when listening to them, it is hard to believe that their addictive beats and energized melodies have not surfaced before.

With a sound reminiscent of Arctic Monkeys mixed with hints of Bloc Party, The Burgeoning blends unique and sincere lyrics with prominent guitar riffs and organic acoustic harmonies. You can hear that in “Lighthouse,” from their 2012 debut EP Love Alchemy Life Algorithm. Making their name more of a creed than a label, the band strives to expand and create a sound that is “a journey though the heart and imagination of a listener.” As an innovative unit, the five piece outfit says it refuses to grieve at the end of any adventure, but rather look forward to another one beginning.
