They helped us though the end of summer with their “Swimming Pool” video and started the Fall on the right note with their two-track 7″ preview via Bandcamp. Now join York / Lancaster native Younger Me at The Fire tonight for their second 7″ release show. To help celebrate the evening, the indie pop-rock trio will share the stage with Philly local Lucy Stone and Philadelphia based Family Vacation. Prepare for the show by listening and downloading their two track preview below. Find tickets and details for tonight’s 21+ performance here.
Now a days, technology has given musicians endless options for experimenting, writing, and recording their trade. But Minneapolis folk artist Mason Jennings kept it a bit old school for his anticipated release Always Been, due out November 12th. Watch his brief discussion with recording artist and performer Haroula Rose about using a tape cassette to write the new album here. Make sure to catch Jennings’ performance at World Cafe Live tonight. Tickets and details for the show can be found here. Listen to the audio of his new upbeat acoustic single “Lonely Street” below.
Celebrating his September release of Imitations, alt-rock singer/songwriter Mark Lanegan is coming to Underground Arts tonight. As a nostalgic collection of artists from his childhood (like Chelsea Wolfe, Nancy Sinatra, and John Cale), Lanegan sprinkles each covered track with his own personality without overpowering the air of the originals. Watch the video for Lanegan’s version of “I’m Not The Loving Kind” below. Find information and tickets for tonight’s 21+ show here.
