Tonight’s Concert Picks: Terakaft at World Cafe Live, Father John Misty at Union Transfer, Address at PhilaMOCA

West African bluesmen Terakaft will play World Cafe Live tonight. The band released its fourth album, Kel Tamasheq, last year. Terakaft recreate the desert vibe from scratch with sweeping guitar rifts and pulsating percussion. Get tickets here and watch them play “Alghalem” below.

Folk singer Father John Misty, aka Joshua Tillman (ex-Saxon Shore, Fleet Foxes) will play a solo show at Union Transfer tonight. He released his eighth studio album, Fear Fun, on Sub Pop Records, the first under his new moniker. Misty’s folk-tinged melancholy is almost palpable once you let his somber tone fill whatever space you’re in. Tickets are available here. Watch “Hollywood Forever Cemetery Sings” below.

Philly post-hardcore outfit Address will play KDU’s Tuesday Tune-out Show at PhilaMOCA tonight. The band’s self-titled EP , which was released earlier this year, showcases raw vocals and lyrical aggression similar to early Rise Against records. Get more show details on our concert calendar. Listen to “Become Empty” below.
