Auroras is an ambient post rock band from Lancaster that is releasing its debut EP on October 31st. This five-piece outfit has been in the process of writing and recording this release for almost two years, and it is worth mentioning that Greg Dunn of Moving Mountains is behind the mastering of it. The first single, “Northeast Compliment” is available for streaming below via band camp. The spacy music has an edge to it, with a forceful chorus that explodes as frontman Travis Williams delivers the lines “Keep your eyes down, don’t look around. / I’ve been through hell and back / I’m lost, I’m found. / All this is transient” with urgency in his talented voice. Between the well-crafted ambient guitar riffs, powerful drums and bass, and Williams’ singing ability, Auroras are a band worth keeping an eye on.
