Nashville pop-rock trio Leagues will be bringing their crooning vocals and toe tappin’ instrumentation to Union Transfer tonight. Drawing comparisons to bands like The Fray, who they toured with after being discovered by the band in Nashville, Leagues have matured into very much their own, mixing guitar and drums with pop heavy melodies and introspective lyrics. Find tickets and more information on the Union Transfer show here.

Seattle indie pop-folk band Ivan and Alyosha perform at Boot & Saddle tonight. Known for infectious and up-beat live sets, the group combine folk-rock guitar instrumentation, resonant, soulful vocals and compelling, spiritually influenced lyricism to create a sound that is catchy while still being very grass-roots at heart. Find tickets and info on the show here.

Eclectic and multifaceted Canadian outfit Destroyer will be performing at Johnny Brenda’s tonight. Set to release Five Spanish Songs, an EP of songs written by Spanish musician Antonio Luque, the show promises to mix quintessential indie rock instrumentation with both older English favorites as well as vocals sung in Spanish (the only other language Destroyer creator Dan Bejar knows). Find tickets for the solo performance here.

Also Tonight:

Active Child at First Unitarian Church (8:30pm, all ages, $13)
