Singer and songwriter Res is celebrating the release of her new EP, Refried Mac, (a collection of Fleetwood Mac covers) tonight at World Cafe Live. The Philadelphia native first achieved mainstream success with her 2001 LP How I Do on which she captured listeners with her mix of indie pop, soul, and rock. Get tickets to the show here.

Philly’s own Fursaxa, aka Tara Burke, will bring her experimental folk to Highwire Gallery tonight for a Folkadelphia-presents concert. Burke has been relatively quiet since the release of Mycorrhizae Realm back in 2010 as fans await new music. Her folksy art songs are easy to listen, meditate, and think to. Check out our concert calendar for more details on tonight’s show.

Baltimore’s Great American Canyon Band will play at Ortlieb’s Lounge tonight. The band released its melancholic Lost At Sea EP back in April. The EP’s four tracks really do make you feel like you’re rafting alone at sea, but it’s a pleasant loneliness filled with delicate instrumentation and resonant vocals. Listen below and get tickets here.

Also tonight…

Psalmships at Johnny Brenda’s (9:00 p.m., 21+, $10)

David Bromberg at The Abbey Bar (4:00 p.m., $40)
