Brandi Carlile Raises The Roof for her Looking Out Foundation at World Cafe Live
On Saturday, December 14th, Brandi Carlile and her band performed at World Cafe Live for the Raise The Roof concert benefiting her Looking Out Foundation. Founded by Brandi in 2008, the non-profit’s mission is to support, through music, humanitarian outreach efforts – from local efforts like food banks and shelters to global organizations like the Red Cross and Unicef.
The event was the first Raise The Roof concert held on the East Coast. The foundation worked with Philabundance on a collection of non-perishable foods, and the event was live streamed by Melodic Caring Project, a non-profit that combines the healing properties of music with technology to stream live and personalized concerts to kids & teens battling serious illness.
The evening was a fantastic success all for a great cause, including performances of some of her fan favorite songs – inclluding a cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain,” and a gorgeous solo cover of of U2’s “One.” Below, watch Brandi and the twins perform “O Holy Night.”
